A booking can take a couple of hours to appear in the county system, so the first thing we do is watch for it — you do not have to. Once it lands we read the bail off the record and tell you the premium. Paperwork is signed from wherever you are; nobody needs to drive to Ontario or to the jail. An agent then takes the bond to Etiwanda Avenue in person. From there the clock belongs to the facility: releases from a jail this size run roughly one to six hours, and a Friday night does not move like a Tuesday afternoon. We will tell you what that particular night looks like, and we will not quote you a number the jail has not given us.
What will not speed this up
- Calling the jail again
- Paying more than the premium
- Waiting in the Etiwanda Avenue lobby
